Popularization of knowledge on air conditioning branch pipes
Air conditioning branch pipe, also known as air conditioning branch pipe or branch pipe, branch pipe, etc., is a connecting pipe used in VRV air conditioning systems to connect the main unit and multiple end devices (evaporators), divided into gas and liquid pipes. The diameter of the trachea is generally thicker than that of a liquid tube. The refrigerant is throttled by an expansion valve or capillary tube, and then connected to the liquid pipe of the branching device after coming out of the main engine outlet. The refrigerant can be divided into other branch pipes and end evaporators through liquid pipe diversion. The refrigerant undergoes heat absorption in the evaporator and turns into gas, which then flows back to the compressor of the main engine through a gas pipe.
The air conditioning manifold is equivalent to the bifurcation head of a water pipe, processed from high-quality copper pipes, used to divert refrigerant. The multi connected manifold is used as a component to connect several air outlets in series. The selection of branch pipes is determined based on the capacity of the indoor unit connected after each branch pipe. Its simple function is to connect with copper pipes to connect various indoor units, allowing refrigerant to circulate inside the copper pipes, achieving cooling and heat exchange effects.
The installation of branch pipes is very important for the operation of central air conditioning multi unit systems. Based on the correct selection of branch pipes, the installation specifications of branch pipes should be followed: branch pipe connection: the inlet is connected to the outdoor unit or the previous branch, and the outlet is connected to the indoor unit or the next branch.
1. Before installation: Before installation, check whether the diameter size of the copper pipe is consistent with the required manifold diameter size. If the copper pipe size on the installation site is different from the required manifold diameter size, use a cutting knife to cut off the different parts. Note: choose the same diameter size to cut off.
2. Placement: The air conditioning branch pipes can be installed horizontally or vertically, and the angle between the branch pipe opening and the horizontal line must be less than 15 degrees when installed horizontally; When installed vertically, facing the two branch openings, the angle between any branch opening and the vertical line must be less than 15 degrees; The pipeline after the two pipe openings must ensure a straight pipe section of over 60 centimeters; Small branch pipes cannot replace large branch pipes.
3. Precautions: For branching and multi-channel systems, each pipe should be labeled to correspond with the indoor unit after branching, to prevent misconnection.
4. Blowing: Blowing is the use of nitrogen pressure to remove impurities from the pipe. (Mainly dust, moisture, oxides caused by welding, etc.)
